In the middle of downtown Monterey, about 200 yards from the Monterey Aquarium stands an unassuming restaurant called Bon Ton L’Roy’s Lighthouse Smokehouse.  A friend who lives in the area told me they had the best club sandwich that he ever had.  It’s a casual American eatery with full bar that serves BBQ platters and jumbo sandwiches.  The co-owners, Valentina and Lenny, cook and serve the delicious food.
