If you are going to visit Napa Valley invest time into taking a tour of one of the more established wineries. An in-depth tour follows the path from the vineyard to the cellar to the finished wine and you learn a lot from one of the wine education specialists. I like Beringer and Sterling but most recently visited Robert Mondavi Winery and enjoyed the tour and the tasting.
